Chiaki started her professional career at Panasonic headquarters in Japan as a new graduate. She worked as a global account manager and then as a marketing specialist. In 2000, she moved to ASKUL, a Japanese office supply platform venture, as their e-commerce manager. She then joined Sammy Corporation and served as a member of their strategy team. After completion of her MBA, she started working as a management consultant at Mercer, the US HR management consulting firm. She then moved over to the client side and joined Alico Japan’s HR Team to lead various HR policy harmonization projects after their acquisition by MetLife. She then moved to AWS/Amazon Japan as their Senior HR business partner, where she supported the company’s senior leaders. She then was invited by Farfetch, the luxury online platform headquartered in London, to lead their HR and back office functions in Japan. In March 2023, she was appointed Director of Human Resources Division at McCann Worldgroup Holdings Japan. She has more than 30 years of experience in business and HR at both domestic and international companies with strong organizational cultures.
